Why is it that other conversion tools do not work for SH5 e.g. http://gr2decode.altervista.org/docs.html
Is it because there is customised data in the file format, or is it protected somehow? With Autodesk coming to their non-commercial licensing senses recently (smart move by them) I wonder if RAD Game Tools will follow suite at some point... |

There are several problems with them. They can and often crash Max because of the script size. And one must have Max to use them. It'd be surprised if RAD released a universal extracter. The way the Granny System is written allows a world of custom encodeing of the GR2 files. Take a look at the way Granny is used in 'The First Templar' for example! It's an amazeing bit of work but is also pretty easy to extract models from. ![]() Nearly ready for release is a version of the GR2 Extracter that uses Noesis as a front end. It allows selecting the texture folder so you can view the Models fully textured and allows extraction to many different 3D formats. Last edited by Madox58; 08-06-11 at 01:43 PM. |
