Default Using the Nav Chart

When I click on an enemy icon on the chart, I see two grey dashed circles about 5000 meters out from the icon and a couple of dash straight lines appear. What are they for?

???

They represent the distances that the enemy ship can detect you at using different detection devices. You can use the 'search' function in the forum for a detailed breakdown of exactly what the inner and outer circles represent.

Yeah, we've discussed it several times.

The largest circle is visual range. The next concentric circle is passive hydrophone range (which is why there's a "hole" behind the ship). The next one in is active range, and the innermost is hedgehog range.

Thank you.

Is this explanation somewhere in the manual that comes with the game?
