Default [REL] FFS Richelieu

After finding the cause of the ctds I had with the playable Richelieu I have now decided to release it.

The ship has the same features as the Vanguard regarding the guns. Only this time there are pairs. Each pair operates independant of each other.

I improved the 3D model from the AI version.

Read the read me for further details and the short story of the Richelieu.

Anyhow, here`s the pictures:

the 2 forward guns are black for me, Im guessing because of FOTRS cause your pictures they are fine. Not a big problem, I still love the ship

I just tested the Richelieu in the battle of midway mission. Sank the first Kongo with ease, no damage. Sank the three carriers and a few destroyers, no damage. Headed directly towards the other two Kongos, small damage. Damage began to increase as I got closer. Accidently fired a torpedo that caused flooding in the already damaged forward magazine compartement (bow torpedo room.) 1% increase in hull damage from 18% to 19%. A few sytems and a bulkhead was damaged. The ship slowly began to go down by the bow. Sank the first Kongo. Then crippled the other that began to lean over to port, but not before it took out both of the quad turrets. How unlucky. The Destroyers and cruisers followed my ship and kept firing. Almost sank three Mogamis with the six inch secondaries and sank two-three destroyers. After an hour in real time the no. 2 main turret was under water. I knew then that there was no way to save the ship and it would take hours in real time for the ship to sink, so i called it a day and ended the mission. Accuracy was a little low because of some bad settings in the cfg files. She handles well and is a match for any ship in the game. Now let`s see how the Alsace will do in the same situation.

Hi Karle,

I just tried to play the Midway mission, but my ship is underwater. I tried to surface the boat, but it stayed underwater. How can I get the ship to surface?

You need to edit the mission sp you start surfaced. I have made those kind of modifications to the battle of midway, battle of samar and battle of leyte

again a masterpiece. Looking at history you do get an idea on why the English had to make sure the french ships didnt end up in German hands..

So far i have no real bugs with it.....keeping testing abit this evening to
