Uniform Information anyone?

I've been looking for good reference images for several Countries Uniforms.
Naval of course.

WWII British Empire mostly.
Canada, Australia, and Great Britain seem to have used almost the same Uniforms.

Anyone have detailed information on differences?
Pictures would be best for the purpose I have in mind.

I know a good source is my library, for insignia and uniforms of WW2. I saw about 2 or 3 books last time I was there on just that subject.

Hi mate,

For Germany i have some detail book but unfortunately i don't have a scan nor a camera.

But for other country i just spend hours searching on military site and forum and most of the time i found what i am looking for.

As an example i just found recently some merchant marine visor bullion for UK and US i was surprised how similar they are.

best of luck and surely other members will be able to lay you a hand on this.

Best regards Hans

Most of the animations concern Royal Units.
Those are the only Uniforms I really need a bit of visual information on.
The 3D Model will work for each Country, just the final details is all I need.
I know of the whites and blues as far as lower Sailors stuff.
Just not the details from Canada to Australia and such.
It took me 3 days to get dimensions on the Brodie Helmet!

Hi mate,

Since i did some crew to put on different warship i found out that their uniform was very similar to the German one in blue only the cap differ and some minors element on the uniform.

And they have the name of the ship on their cap .

Best regards Hans

As most are Combat concerns?
The Brodie Helmet covers the Hat issue.

Strips on the Kerchief, colors, etc mean more as I'm sure someone will
point out any mistake as a slight to thier Country.

Here's a start, Jeff. There are a couple of pictures of full uniforms.
http://www.naval-history.net/WW2aaRN...nks-Badges.htm

Canadian, officers only.
http://mpmuseum.org/rcnofficers.html

One Australian seaman's uniform.

Sorry, but that's all I could find in a quick search.

I don't know if black and white photos really help, but there are many of them HMS HOODS Association web site:

http://www.hmshood.com/photos/miscel...s/misccrew.htm

or HMS Royal Oak http://www.hmsroyaloak.co.uk/

some are in good resolution

Thanks everyone!

Weird that none of my searches found those images.
Wrong search terms I figure.

Between the Photos and colored illustrations?
I pretty much have all the visual information I wanted now.

Plus there's a few things that I can add also!!
