And it looks like that'll be the last of this series, at least for a little while. My game save was corrupted (Seriously Ubisoft, can't save while submerged?!)

I will return to the game in the future. Looking forward to the releases of all these new mods that will be coming out in the near future!

I will be Let's Playing another simulation type game in the meantime, The Settlers 7. If anyone wants to watch, my channel is always open to you all!

I BETA tested Settlers 7. Wasn't impressed with it at all

Well, first couple of videos are already up TDW, if you wanted to take a look.

I have never played any Settlers game before, just like Silent Hunter, so at least the video series should hopefully be interesting.

I have been watching and enjoying this series, and because of it I, too, have ordered my copy of SH5. I started with SubSims back in the CAOD days (10th U-flotille), and despite the "primitive" graphics (by today's standards), it is still my favourite. I am grateful that these posts are so recent; revealing current interest in these games.

...And I like the original format: watching the travel. That was part of the charm.

Where did you get the "Das Boot" soundtrack?

VFWKamikaze: what type of rig (computer) are you running?

Bought WIN-7 after a major computer problem a month back. Reinstall Steam and Now SH-5 after seeing the vids by Kamakazi.

His list of MODs is intimidating; do they have an installer similar to many sims I've seen?

Hello. with which button can i maintain full speed (17kts flat sea conditions) not fully reloaded batteries? now i have to wait before the batteries are fully reloaded to get my 17 kts.

Is the game playable now? Haven't played sh5 since ubi decided to stop updating the game. haven't tried any mods yet tho.

This is the best newbie tutorial for SH5 I've seen.

It's always been playable, but yeah most of the bugs are gone and so is DRM.
