Well, I've been on the new job site since 5/17 its only a few hours from home, so thats not too bad, the wife is able to visit on Saturday and Sunday even though i work 6 days a week and only have Sunday off technically... but i will likely be called elsewhere further away soon.
Im living in a borrowed RV at the moment. its kind of fun, like camping out every night - lots of the other team members are staying in RVs as well - so after hours there is a modest amount of beer drinking and grilling going on. Im most impressed with the pay... even on training pay - in the first 10 days on the job i brought in more money than than i would have made in 3 whole months back at the best flying job i once held. I'm thrilled to have some financial security for a change (while it lasts). now i dont have to wander around the house looking for things to sell on craigslist between flights. tomorrow i will be taking 2 exams - exams that the company was late signing me up for due to an error on their part, and thus they only provided me with study materials 2 days ago (normally this is provided 2 weeks in advance) I have been cramming and am actually taking a break from it now to type this. i have a series of practice tests online, my confidence is building and i think the cramming is paying off because im scoring pretty well on the practice exams. the two tests are challenging enough with the study time, but when passed, i will have additional certifications that will soon grant me the ability to work on my own without the trainer at my side will allow me to enjoy a significant pay increase (as well as a substantial increase in the amount of work i have to do to go along with it) so far, everything my "mentors" have guided me to and everything they have told me has turned out to be truth 100% and has worked out in my favor... i shall continue to follow their advice. ![]() they tell me my pay should double within the next 6-12 months if the work remains steady, which all indications are that it will. thanks for all the positive wishes from the prior thread when i started this the whole application process for this new job. it means a lot!

Well I hope he's not only loving his job but living his love!
![]() Sounds great from here. Usually higher pay would only means a few things. Either the risks involved are considerable OR the posting distance or work hours is long.
