Default Possibly To Become Partial Owner of a Waco UPF-7

Well, a friend of mine is the director of a small museum/memorial association

Her and I were discussing classic aircraft and she mentioned that she would love to have an old biplane to be a flying part of the museum of sorts

Well, it came to mind that my ex girlfriend's father has a disassembled Waco UPF-7 in his barn, that he just hasn't had time to put it back together. So I mentioned it to my friend, and she's now putting together funding to buy it for the museum, and seeing as I "found" it, I will be considered one of the partial owners if the project comes together.

Is that not cool or what? The only thing missing from the plane is the canvas skin - and that can be had for a decent price

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning for all the aviation nuts on here - myself included

Also, if anyone on here knows somebody from the midwest with a written off Cessna 172/182 or similar, shoot me a PM. She's looking for one to mount of a wall to look as if it crashed through - and I would be allowed to build a simulator inside of it

Thanks

I wasn't sure of what a UPF-7 looked like so I did a little googling and came up with this:

Not a bad looking plane at all, cool work!

Cool, first glances it looks like a Stearman. Good luck with the venture, and I for one would be more than pleased with updates on the journey ahead!

Great airplanes. A true classic. I met an old Couple that had a red one. 1937 model I think, valued at $350,000!!

It is fun being a little part of history or helping restore history. Cool plane!

Same here, but it's been more than a decade since I last saw one for real here in the Netherlands (anual Fly-in at EHSE).

Anthony, keep 'em flying!
