I like how there's 20 of them in the other corner, just sitting there glaring at him, following his every movement. That sight alone would've scared the piss out of me...

He's even talking smack to them........

As one commenter said, he is less than a god, but more than a man....

That is...insane. I mean, Steve Irwin multiplied by fifteen thousand.

Those cobras are REAL pissed. I wonder how many times that guy has been bitten.

They could've had their venom sacs removed , or if I had to do that job it'd be early morning before they've warmed up - but I'd still not use my hands! And I'd wear boots!

Cobra pit? Why do they need a cobra PIT? Why does such a nightmare-inducing thing exist?

Saw this in my FB feed.

I have not seen a more calm, collected, utterly casual manifestation of sheer testicular fortitude than this dude.

If you gotta clean up after 'em, I guess you just gotta do it with attitude - and style.

So parents can bring their kids to the zoo and say "THIS IS WHERE YOU'RE GOING IF YOU DON'T DO YOUR HOMEWORK!"

Hey, maybe that's how that guy ended up there

These are all very old cobras. This is the retirment pit for aging cobras. They have lost their teeth. Plus, their speed just ain't what it used to be.

*animal welfare hat on*

To be fair, that pit is a pretty horrid place to keep cobras and especially in that large a number, it's a little like something out of an ancient Egyptian pyramid trap from Indiana Jones. The cobras are also likely sleepy thus their reaction times are lower than if they were alert and hunting, and they have most likely had their teeth broken and/or had their venom ducts cut.
I don't like how he handled those snakes, I happen to like snakes myself and have a lot of respect for them...but...

*animal welfare hat off*

He's got steel balls I'll give him that, and I think those Cobras didn't know what the hell to do about it.

It used to be the bunny pit but goddamn PETA activists kept going in and freeing the bunnies. So now we have a cobra pit. Two birds and one stone and all that.

They are defanged, or that guy would have been dead. Particularly the way he was handling them. Doesn't take much balls to go into a cobra pit when the cobras can't hurt you.

You know, when I first saw the thread pop up on the forum, that's what I thought it was gonna be about - some macho Army flyer cleaning out an AH-1 cockpit with roundhouse kicks or something
