Depth charge click, and Diesel wave.and more!

I got tired of not hearing a click before the depth charges exploded so I made my own.

I also worked on the Submarine_diesel_exterior wave, I added a bit of bass, so it does not sound so tinny and lowered the volume a bit.

Will this play nicely with RFB?

It's a sound file. It is unaffected by any other mods, and it won't affect them either.

So yes, it will work fine with RFB.

I don't want to sound noobish, but is this as simple as just dropping this sound clip in the Sound folder? The reason I ask is, that's what I did and fired up the Growler single mission to intercept the resupply convoy to Kiska. I got detected by the two escorts, and they began depth chargeing me. I'm afraid I didn't hear any "click" before the charge. I noticed there was another depth charge sound file already in the Sound folder, and I'm not sure if that's the one I was hearing. Is there a certain distance from the sub that is needed to hear the click? Most of the charges were a fair distance away, but a few managed to shake the boat alittle. Unless I'm going deaf, I didn't hear any click. Any thoughts?

Default Re: Fish40, Depth charges exploding from submarine

Hay Fish,
Sorry for the delay in responding to you, I had to work this week end, I don't know what version of Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific, that you are running, 1.4 or (1.5 which includes the u-boat missions), which i encourage you to get. It improves the game and there seem to be a lot more mods for it (1.5). But I think you should have only one, Depth charges exploding from submarine wave file in you sound folder. Having 2 may cause a conflict (CTD) The click is very pronounced and you should have no trouble hearing it. Save the original Depth charges exploding from submarine wave file to somewhere safe, as a back up, in case you don't like the modded one, and just drop the modded one in your sound folder. That's it.... Hope this helps, Indy
