Reporting for Duty!

Greetings!

While I can't say I'm actually any good at these games [I'm horrible!] I find myself unable to pull away. I started playing Silent Hunter with the release of Silent Hunter 4 Gold Edition and just picked up Silent Hunter 5. I know, I know.

Glad to find this community here. If anyone can point out any must have mods for Silent Hunter 5, as apparently vanilla is not the way to go, please let me know!

Nope, only playing 3 at the moment. I have 4 but haven't installed it yet.

I'm not sure my system specs are up to 5, so I'm waiting to see what further developments come along with the game (and mods for it) before I even look at a possible upgrade just for that.

No doubt there will be others along who play it, but if you haven't done so already head on over to the dedicated SH5 forums and I'm sure you'll find lots of info and suggestions.

I understand. I was considering picking up 3, and perhaps still will, considering the love a lot of people on these forums seem to have for the game, but I chose SH5 to put my computer through its paces [The Monster that it is] so yep.

SH3 with the GWX super mod is a great way to go. It brings the best out of the game. Still getting use to SH5. Will have to mod it to get it up to speed. At least my computer can handle it now!

I was thinking about SH3. Actually, I'm kind of upset that I bought SH5 from Steam for $29.99 and it's on Amazon right now for like... $8 after shipping.

But I like SH5 thus far. She certainly is a pretty game after some of the mods I installed.
