Default Confused SH3 vet, SH5 noob

Hi all,

I never bought Sh4, Sh3 grey wolves expansion was more than enough meat for me but I went out and bought SH5 the first day of release only to smack myself in the face, bury the game, and simultaneously forget about SH3. After a year I have the feeling to start up again but I don't want to repeat my 1st Sh5 debacle. Yes I am one of those players after getting peeved off with Sh5 realised that you could take out destroyers with the deck gun easily and even a light cruiser!

Anywho, are there any complete mods like greywolves for SH5 yet where I just need to DL one thing and I am ready to go? Any mods that make Sh5 into a graphically updated SH3? Any mods that change the auto TDC into an auto TDC with accurate settings at any range instead of the bully bean ball 1,2,3? Or is the best thing just to reinstall SH3 + greywolves and get back at her that way?

Yes there is an all in one mod. It is still in beta, but is stable for most. See here

For the easy TDC without join the dots see here

Default Welcome back

Glad you returned to the flotilla.

I have found SH5, with the beta mega-mod by Darkwraith to be definitely worthwhile. Mind you , I am no expert, and am playing it with real navigation for the adventure. That means I haven't experienced every aspect of the game yet. Using the fast time movement with real navigation is dangerous. I went aground twice. Now I play at no more than 32x and never near land.

Considering what Darkwraith and other modders have done and can do in time, the future of this game is bright.

Good hunting.
