I'm very new to this, and a bit confused. I've finished a few patrols (8 i think) and have around 3500 renown. Date is early 1940. I'm trying to upgrade my uboat but it won't let me. I've added a deck flak gun and an emblem, but when I choose a new type of uboat, there is no way to double click (Ive tried everywhere) to choose it. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks for any help

I doubt that 3500 would be enough to upgrade... (Could be wrong though!!!)
You're sure you're double clicking on the u-boat type on the left and that a message isn't coming up saying you don't have enough renown? BTW, there is a fix to give yourself more renown... You might already know that, but just in case, thought I'd mention it... S

new type vii in early 1940 cost 2500 renown. even if you don't have enough, when you double click you receive a "not enough renown" message. so either your not clicking the correct text or found something i don't know.

I must not be clicking the correct text, even though I'm clicking all over the place to get it. Guess I'll just stay with my old sub.
And what about a fix to give yourself more renown? Like, the game doesn't give enough when it's supposed to? |

I had a bit of a time upgrading as well; what you need to do is double-click on the text that runs down the leftmost side of the screen, i.e. the 3 sub descriptions; IIa, IID and VIIB.
Double-clicking on one of the 3 listed subs worked for me. ![]() |
