Hello, I just downloaded SH4 Uboat content from Ubisoft direct. I downloaded RFB and RSRD for v1.5, as well as the patches from the download page on both. This was a clean install, and I can't figure out why it keeps crashing. Any suggestions?

Give us your system specs, mod version numbers and when and what you're doing when you get the CTD.

I am running a Toshiba laptop with an ATI card, 4gb RAM , and a T5800 core duo. I have had it CTD when approaching Midway on my first war patrol in career mod, as well as when looking at German ships in the museum.
Oh, and I am running RFB 2.0, with the April 23 patch, and RSRD V575 with the v5XXX patch. |

Haven't played RFB, try posting there, but be careful about the museum. I'm fairly sure due to the mods and how ships are reworked and added it will lead to CTD's. Not a bug...just don't go there.

And Lurker warned against it in the read-me.
Besides that, tests have shown that SH4 is running awfully close to it's limits, with very little memory overhead. So your other CTDs may be caused of out-of-memory... considering the many ships in RSRD. Have a look in the 4GB-thread. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=177503 |
