Does anyone else's wife hate this game?
hehe, I think the turning point was when she came home and I had replaced all the light bulbs with red ones, pushed all the furniture together so the living room was cramped, tight quarters, and she could hear them hitting me with active pinging in the street when she pulled up(she hates active with a passion...did you know you can hear that across the house even with headphones on?) :P She walked in and my kids and I all had our sailor hats on and we were in full immersion.

On a side note, don't insist that she call you "Captain" under threat of flogging and brig time. Generally only we think thats funny.

And no, there really was no point to this thread.

Mine accepts it the same way I accept the constant mooing and clucking from Farmville.

Plus, It's my job, which helps as well... (grin)

Tell her to get into the galley and make some stew. And tell her that she doesn't have to go barefoot.

I've never been married so never had that problem, but it's been hard on occasion to get dives with married opponents, or F4AF flights from my days on virtual fighter wings.

The "Captain" and flogging thing should probably be kept to the bedroom. Just sayin'.

My wife REALLY hates the game precisely because of the active pinging ! Somehow, even with the volume low, and with my headphones on, she still manages to hear it from the other side of the house.

Perhaps all contempt will be gone when you ask her to play with you. Just make sure to tell her it gives her the chance to sink you.

Maybe I've never been married or planning soon well maybe never. I'm quite happy about myself so happy I don't think I need anybody. Well anybody wrong especially

I have red lighting, what good DW simmer doesnt ?
I play while the Mrs. is watching "Two and a Half Men"

She will pass by once in a while and see some strange screens and say "are you playing a game" and I say "No, hunny I am using a ...SIM"
