Default Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-----

Just noticed my charge icon turned off on my laptop. After finagling with the cord and not getting anything, I brought the adapter part close to my head, don't ask why.

What do I hear? A faint beeping sound. 1 quick google search later and I find out my charger may have bitten the bucket.

As my warranty is still good until January, hopefully I can get a new one for free.

God knows how long it'll take.

I'm down to 82% battery and counting. Had wanted to mess around some more on ARMA 2 editor and then start my campaign, but that will eat through my battery.

...73&. Just put her into Power saver mode.

This ship is going down. All hands abandon ships.

BAH. Even on Power saving I'm already down to 71%.

Girlfriend would probably bite my hand off If I tried using her computer.

66%.... Just looked up HP's price for a replacement.... 79.99 D:.

Sadly, I had to turn her off before she completely shut down. Techsupport is on the phone now(not that I really need a determination for what's wrong, I just need the bloody part.)

On the misses computer while she's in the other room. SSSSHHHH don't tell her.

EDIT: Baah. Bloody tech support "Let's go through troubleshooting".

"What the eff for? I know it's the charger!"

Step one: Power recycle (turn if off and on again)

Step two: Plug it in another socket, just in case

Step three: Repeat step one, just in case

Step four: Thow it in a strop (disconnect from both ends first - very important)

Step five: Buy your missus some wine/chocolates and tell her she should visit her mother/sister/friends more often

Step six: Create your own (admin) account on the wife's PC, and change her password. Deny doing this!

Et voila!

Pretty much the steps I went through before hand.

But I already had an admin spot on her computer, so that step was taken out. Surprisingly she said I can use it while I wait for my cord(must be because my birthday is this week, and she's in a Christmas sort of mood.)

The only bad thing is that this 1.8ghz Single core AMD Sempron Processor isn't going to run anything, save maybe minecraft.

Anywho, HP says they'll send a new one out and it should be here by Monday 12/13.

Ended up getting the misses to talk to the techsupport guy. Dealing with someone who's just reading off a prompt and knows less about computers than you is a bit troublesome.

My computer would probably explode.

Edit: The waiting game sucks. Today I didn't have to do anything, job or chore wise. Was looking forward to starting my damn campaign. Instead I took care of my nephew(6 months old I believe), played about 30 minutes of GT5(which surprisingly puts my nephew to sleep, think it's the car sounds), and then napped. Now I'm letting the PS3 and GT5 update before I go out to dinner.
