WW I era colt 1911 45, German K-98 8mm. Norico sks, ak , model of colt 1911 45 , Dan Wesson 357 short cut to heaven, Ithica model 37 12 ga. winchester 1897 25 35. Let's see how knowledgeable you guys are, what was one of the first repeating rifles used in the U.S. Civil War that fired a rim fire bullet ? In New York right now deer hunting, no luck yet.

Was that the Winchester repeater, firing .44 rimfire?

And I've got a little experience with the Norinco SKSs...my father has one. They're exponentially lighter than the Yugo variety, but I've found that mine performs better. Do you like it?

Heck the Suburban areas have Deer here. I live a 2 miles from the city and we got deer in the woods behind my house.

Same here. Some parts of the city limits you better watch those tree lines for sudden suicide deer attacks.

Yep, we had about 8 deer run up along side of my dad's truck when we were driving up Panorama Trail. I could have reached out and touched them they were that close. Glad no one hit them (there were two other cars behind us).

So, it's -7 here in Indiana and we have 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground. It'd be a great opportunity to act out my favorite shots from "Enemy at the Gates" with my new Nagant. That is, if I wasn't between classes until 1700.

I bet the range would be desolate, too.

Apparently you can blame the Russian for strict UK gun laws.

Up until the revolution so I have been told firearms laws in the UK were quite liberal. Then the Russians went and toppled their Tsars, the UK aristocracy got a bit worried with all the plebs having guns so promptly banned most of them.

No No no no , not the city, got property south of the finger lakes there is a state west of the Hudson, wouldn't think it way the policitons act , wouldn't mind going to the big city, an baggin one of those metro buses. Found out the hard way a 25 35 is no deer gun at 150 yards. Ain't in Beef alow snow and blow here, Bath NY.

The rifle that I have is a Spencer correct me if I am wrong on the caliber but I think it is a 54 50 rim fire and yes I love that sks bought it brand new years ago nail wood chucks at 300 yards .

One gun I'd love to get my hands on...you have permission to laugh a little, would be the Solothurn S-18/1000.

That's the /100 model, but its' essentially the same rifle. The 1000 is a bit longer. Still, I think it would be awesome to get to shoot that thing.
