Default Funny Football (American) observation about the Lions

First of all, for all you Detroit fans, I say "I'm sorry." We'll take joey back so he can do used car ads :rotfl: . He's good at those :rotfl:
The local hillbilly news here is really funny when it comes to talking about joey harrington, the most over-hyped/over rated QB in modern memory. Whenever the Lions win, they are the lead sports story of the night, yes I've been tracking this, but when they loose.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: They don't even mention the lion's score.

The lesson to my short rant is that Nike money can't buy you everything. :hmm:

Haha! Even in Detroit we always bet on the Lions losing. It's funny to watch the local news anchors make fun of the Lions and Tigers! I think more people watch the college games than the NFL around here!

As I heard somebody say not too long ago:
"Allright! Football season is starting. That means hockey is on the way!"

:rotfl:

Oh, come on now. If Joey Harrington had some decent pass protection, I'm sure his numbers would be better. I don't think he's all that bad. It doesn't help that the receivers (other than Charles Rogers) have a hard time catching passes either. All in all the Lions need to improve on both sides of the ball. Steve Marriuci is a good coach, so maybe down the road...........

Or am I just dreaming. :hmm:

But no, I'm a 49ers fan so I have my own frustrations.

Stuck with the 49'rs in memory of the great Joe days.

Never seen anything comparable to his execution with magic WRs., his short pass game, his use of the clock and his fine leadership.

A Master of all he surveyed.

He's baaaack!!!! After being benched He manages to win one game against the hapless Cardinals @ home. The next day in the (y)ocal newspaper, full article on how great Joey is, blah, blah, blah. Then today, Cowboys crush the lions, the local news does not even mention him.

Hey Neal,
I lost my prediction, that Randy Moss would be in jail within three weeks of joining da Raiders. (the whole Raider's image thing)

Nik - Nice hatchet job on a guy who was in his prime over 20 years ago.

We dont go a bundle here on folk beating-up the old uns.

They play with Zimmer frames in your neck 'o the woods ?

...and he aint a '' baaaack!!!! '' but he was a superb Quaterback - the finest of his day. (And possibly of any day !!!) :|\

Some Blue Collar folk just could'nt stand a classy guy.

First off, I don't know of anyone who roots for the Texans. Bring back the Oilers.

Secondly, Joey Harrington holds on to the ball too long. He has poor vision, does not anticipate the rush well, and is wildly inaccurate. Jeff Garcia should have been the starter since Week 1.

Detriot needs three things:

1. A stud WR.
2. A real RB.
3. To get rid of Steve Mariucci.

Either that, or perhaps join the Canadian Football League. I'm sure that Los Angeles would like a team again.
