Default Torpedo settings question

Is there some way I can pre-set my torpedos to High Speed, Contact Fusing and minimum depth by modding a file?

It'd be nice to be able to alter the default settings so I don't always have to go and manually do it every time I load a game or leave port. Either that, or a fix for the jumping depth setting gauge?

I really don't mind clicking the speed/fuse settings, but the dang depth gauge for Fleet Boats drives me bonkers. It turns a quick 4 second affair in a tedious micromanagement nightmare with how the dial setting jumps around.

I can find the files you guys refer to, but where do I change the default settings? I can see stuff about speeds etc but not the default trigger & depth settings. I'm probably missing something really obvious here.

click on the torpedo node (name) then the name often shows again in a sub catagory so you click on that one then the property tree box on the right will show the list of settings contained within.

anything with an arrow opens another tree of settings and sometimes even more sub catagories

every torpedo type has its own list of settings so each one must be gone through to be sure you change all the settings (assuming you want them all to act or react the same way
