Well they got to do something after the Pope told them condoms won't prevent AIDS. I guess washing their junk after the deed is the next best way to prevent STDs...

I remember reading in one of Andy McNab's non-fiction books (he is the SAS trooper of Bravo Two Zero fame) that while he was training recruits for the British Army he had jump in the shower to demonstrate the proper bathing techniques because the average British recruit didn't know how to stay sanitary (he included washing the foreskin for males so equipped).
