I know it became G-7 and later S-01 in the Spanish Navy. What happened to the boat after it was decomissioned in 1970? Since it was the last operating U boat, I thought it may not have been scrapped, and is stored somewhere in Spain.

It was sold for scrap $26,000.00 despite the efforts to save her. Too bad nobody could come up with the money for restoration, back then. It would have been worth millions today if still in operating condition.
