my UIs mod will cause your loading time to go up. It has much to do before the game starts

What have you got your shadows setting on in SH5 graphics options ? Put it on half or lower , it makes a big diffrence . You can change it on the fly , you dont need to restart to see the changes in game .

Also Krauter, you might try the low resource usage version of my shadow improvement mod. unless you have a top of the line computer, the higher resource version tends to lower FPS to at least some degree. I am currently experimenting with a setup for the shadow mod that will give full quality shadows without the FPS drop, so lets pray it pans out.

you list environment 3.0 AND environment 3.1

you are only supposed to be using one OR the other but not both IMO

they should just be simply overwritting each other but it could cause issues

the same thing with "A Fistful of Emblems" and the "BRF" mods, i dont think your supposed to use more then one version at a time there but i could be wrong

I believe that "A Fistful of Emblems" which is just for sub emblems is totally different from "BRF" which is for more realistic flotation/sinking of ships. I have honestly never used A Fistful of Emblems though....

And, Env 3.1 should be installed in JSGME over top of Env 3.0. As I have stated on the thread for Env, I would be willing to put together a combined Env3.1 like I have done for past versions if people would prefer it that way. I am not sure why W_clear does not like to make whole releases in the first place.

Also i saw a tip somewhere for people to try d3d_antilag for shv. I notice this while working well for ingame, totally added a extreme load time from start menu to full run.

Don't know if your using that though.

In response, I think I am using shadows at max.. I will try it lowered though

Webster, the reason why I have two "A fistfull of Emblems" is one is the default Mod, and the second adds weathered textures to some of the default emblems (you need the default one for the weathered textures) Also, Steel, A fistfull of Emblems is a handy Mod. Not gamechanging, but adds a ton of new sub emblems for your submarine.

For BRF I assumed that you needed the HP Tweak overtop the regular BRF.

Finally, as Steel mentioned you need to have 3.1 over 3.0 (and yes Steel I'd love it if you could make a one file install).

Also, I am not using the d3d anti lag.. what is this :S ?

ok, i didnt notice that. i was using 3.1 by itself and had removed 3.0

IMO if its not a complete mod then it should be called a patch or ad-on for the original mod, that avoids confusion and missunderstandings

and just to be clear, am i supposed to add all of the env mod versions together going back to the first one?

I totally agree about that naming convention(actually I prefer whole packages and to not mess with patches/add-ons unless it is absolutely necessary).

No, you only need to install 3.0 and then install 3.1(in JSGME of course). Or, I have made it even simpler, because I have posted a link to a combined Env3.1 on the thread for the Env mod. If you download that and extract it to your mods folder, that is all you will have to install. Hope this helps.

I agree with this logic (on overall Mod and not numerous smaller patches) for the exact reasons you've shown. You're always unsure if you're up to date or have the correct files. This is why I never used this Mod until 2.5 came out (the 1 time package Kylania put together).

Anyways thanks for the help guys
