Default What i did on July 4th 2010...

Add your story below

.............................

My wife and i went to the in laws house where the family reunion on her side was being held. Linked up with some of our very own soldiers and played some games on the wii, card games, had a bunch of beers.

Then we headed out to a local park where all the baseball and soccer (football) fields were opened up to the general public for setting up chairs, blankets etc.

There we tossed the pigskin until it got dark. i wondered at 5am why my arm hurt... then it dawned on me; 31 year old playing quarterback for a bunch of 12 - 20 year olds. Though im a defense man myself, i understand the passing game well... and i must say its amazing the pass rush a group of 13 year olds bring

After dark we settled in for the massive fireworks show put on partly by the city. Lasted about 45 minutes. Then we sort of all headed our separate ways.

lots of fun.

Didn't do much of anything. Posted here, watched A More Perfect Union, a TV movie about the creation of the Constitution (don't have any about the Declaration), ate pizza and played SH.

What den of iniquity are you living in that gives visitors and guests crabs?

I came home from work and caught up with an old friend. We had too much rain here for fireworks.

Lets see...

I urinated blood with large clots about 25 times yesterday (felt like I was pissing razorblades) and screamed in sheer agony all while being doped up on hydrocodone 10-650 and UTA capsules. Had a kidney stone last Monday and tried to pass it but it was pronged and it got stuck in my urinary tract (HURT LIKE A __FILL IN THE BLANK__!!!!). It was only 3mm but to a guy it might as well been a football coated in spines!

Eventually, I had to have surgery which went well but it left a stint with a very irritating string hanging out of my manhood (it's sort of cool because it comes out when I pee and then goes back in about a minute later) to be pulled out by the doctor sometime tomorrow.

In a way, I'm horrified since they won't knock me out when they pull this thing out, but it's so uncomfortable to have it in, I'm just about on the verge of pulling it out myself. So yeah, it's been an eventful 4th I'd say. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but at least I haven't had to go back to work for over a week.

The pain was so intense I threw-up until I passed out about 5 times when I had the stone in me. I was begging the rescue squad to shoot me on the way to the hospital. I had to spend 2 hours in sheer hell in the triage center of the hospital without any pain medicine at all until they could cat-scan and x-ray me to figure out what was wrong. No matter which way I rolled around on the bed I was in pain. I eventually settled for the fetal position before throwing up and passing out!

I'm convinced that it's THE WORST pain anybody could ever go through. Even women have said they'd rather go into full blown child labor naturally then to have to pass another stone. The way I see it - Women want to have kids - NOBODY wants a stone!

Besides, my wife just had our first boy about 3 weeks ago and she got the benefit of actually having a kid out of all her misery. All I got was a rock! On the bright side, somebody sent me some flowers and a balloon that said, "It's a STONE!!!" It was hilarious but it hurt too much to laugh.
