Default [REL] Aces' St. Nazire Numbered Sub Pens v1.0.

Aces' St. Nazaire Numbered Sub Pens.

Hi chaps,

Please let me know what you think. Thanks to Hansolo for his magnificent animated sub-pens mod.

Download Link:

http://www.filefront.com/16862261/Ac...ens%20v1.0.rar

Readme:

Greetings,

This mod add numbering to the u-boat pens at St.Nazaire. It includes an edited harbor_kit.dat file from HanSolo's most excellent WAC animated sub-pens with the following additions.

1. Each Pen has external numbering on the front eg. "B 12 A" on the front as did the St. Nazaire pens.

2. Each Pen has numbering above one of the doorways leading to the next pen.

3. The mod includes a new "center" pen model (pens 2-13) which enables each pen to be inter-connected.

4. I have included a new ceiling texture for the pens based on wartime photographs.

Please enable the mod using JSGME.

You will require HanSolo's Animated Sub Pen / WAC4.1 SubPen_animated_18.02.2010 (link below) and my mod should be enabled AFTER the animated sub-pens mod.

Download link for animated sub-pens :

http://www.filefront.com/15615751/WA...18.02.2010.7z/

Please note this mod requires the same attention as the animated sub pens mod, it is a large mod and may require the /3GB patch.

Credits:

Thanks to HanSolo for his fantastic animated sub-pen mod.
Thanks to aergistal for his help and inspiration with the sub pen ceiling texture.

@Borgneface

"Recent versions of Windows support a switch option in BOOT.INI called the /3GB switch, which adjusts the way memory is allocated between the user and the operating system. By default, the split is fifty-fifty -- up to two gigabytes for the user and two for the operating system. The /3GB switch option sets those limits at three gigs maximum for the user and one gig for the operating system. As the name implies, /3GB was originally meant to be used in systems that have 3 GB or more of RAM -- something that is no longer quite as rare as it used to be!"

Hope this helps as an explanation shipmate.

Best regards.

Thanks chaps,

I've been working on a new version. I've been battling with flickering textures but got them better. I've also been customising the pens with different vehicles and added numberplates to them and redone the "Mannschaft" so that there are more crew on deck and three officers. I've also added gangplanks and some men in the control rooms is some pens, so each pen is different.
I've still got quite a bit that I'd like to do before release.

Some pictures:

Kind Regards

Aces
