Default getting rid of dead crewman

I have a dead crewman. He is taking up space and beginning to smell. How do I remove him from the crew slot? I search for dead crew in forum search and did not find the answer, although I am sure some has posted on the subject.

I think that the solution is to scarf up all the ice cream and then just shove him into the freezer.

Bad captain. BAD CAPTAIN!

Getting your crew killed like that. No ice cream for you.

Don't you have a spare Ensign hanging around? Granted, a dead seaman is far more useful, but Ensigns smell better.

Nah, save the ice cream for a crew party later. Stuff the guy in tube 9 with some debris, in case you need a decoy.

I usually put the dead ones in Hogan's Alley until I get back to port. The I get some of the crew to hide him in the trunk of the Admiral's car.

What happens at refit if you have dead crewmen? Do they disappear? Do they get replaced? Or do they stay put and ride motionenless forever more?

Pretty sure you can only replace them while your sitting in your office and handing out promotions and medals.

You could name him Bernie and have him man the Deck Gun while your submerged.

Default figured it out

You can dispose of the body at port by dismissing the crewman. (He is already on permanent leave.)

Crewman Chum you are relieved

Burial at sea would be more proper.

You have to transfer him off the boat like you would the deck gunner that pisses you off... in the office... though i would do the plank seen from Down Parascope myself.

You need to tap into the occult powers and reanimate him...
