Default Query -- Diagnosing or Trace Utility Wanted --

Hello,
is there a diagnostics, Tracing or debug utility that anyone knows of that is applicable to this game ?
I have an instance when a CTD takes place when selecting the hydrophone to listen.
I don't see anything in the event logs, I have recent NVidia drivers on and I'm sure the problem is related to the app or the mods.

Am wondering which DLL might be called when selecting the hydrophone and whether there is a mod that might be causing the crash. Would like to pin this one down if I could, before doing anything else.

Can anyone provide me with relevant info, software ? Thanks in advance.

I know of some simple fixes that sometimes works. Every once in a while I will CTD on the same thing, and a registry cleanup with a computer utility program I have fixes it. Also, you could uninstall all of your mods, and reinstall them, being careful to watch for conflicts. Most conflicts are simple overwrites that do no real harm, but sometimes they do cause problems.

If neither of those help, please post your list of mods so we will know your situation better.

Might also point out that I will remove Lighter Night Somewhat, as this is merged into the more recently installed Environment Mod. Though I doubt if it is a problem.

The only one I know of that does the job correctly is IDA Pro.
It costs roughly $850 U.S. Bucks!

There is a Freeware version that does do a very good job to actually trace SH problem!

It will give you the EXACT line of code that is the problem.
It's not for the average user however!
So be warned.
It's version 4.9

It has a STEEP learning curve!
But is well worth it if you really want to see how things work.
I use it and know it well!
