Default [REQ] Crew clear the deck sooner?

Isn't it kina silly for the deck crew to remain outside after the hatch has closed and the deck is almost submerged? They should clear the deck as soon as I call the dive command and before the hatch is closed.

Additionally... I'm on the deck and I decide I need to get my butt below and get to periscope depth. So, I dive down the ladder and as soon as I get my head below the hatch I press "F" for periscope depth.

Immediately the hatch closes and hissing and such happens, commands are given and we begin to dive.

Um... I'm still on the ladder and I gave the command 1/8 of a second ago.. um... how about a time delay before the hatch closes? At least pretend I didn't just leave 3 guys up on top drown at sea.

Most complaints are the other way around, they don't want to have to wait that 1/8 of a second to start to dive.

What is a realistic time though for the crew to clear the deck? Well... isn't the Captain supposed to be the last one down?

So... in theory if you (the Captain) in fact did go down then it is correct the way it is. Because the guys have already gone down before you.

Then.. how do we solve what we have to work with here?

If Captain is Below Deck and calls for Periscope Depth:
12 seconds pass as crew clears the deck and then the hatch closes and the process starts.

If Captain is on Deck:
1. Command/key stroke for: Clear the Deck
2. 12 seconds to allow crew to clear the deck, then their objects remove from the deck.
3. You can go down the ladder now (you are the Captain and should be the last down the hatch) and press the Periscope depth button as normal.

What do you think?

I can think of two triggers you can use to clear the bridge. One is the IsSubmerged trigger that is used in stock, that sometimes leaves them underwater before they come down. Or you can use a command script to either move them directly or to set a global variable for the idle scripts to do it. This is what I use to get them down quicker in MFCM.
