Im so mad, I removed my old Nvidia drivers, purged reg, and then installed the new drivers only to get the dreaded GRAINY SHADOW curse!
I remove the new, purge, clean, reboot 298 times, purge, clean, and kill a rooster--drinking its blood whilst pouring its blood on my computer... I instal the old drivers that worked without GRAINY SHADOWS but they're still there! I cannot get rid of them. Im so ready to go ATI... |

Protip, you dont have to purge, clean, or kill roosters.
Just use the nvidia installer / let it uninstall. Obviously the excessive cleaning didnt help your problem, might as well save yourself some reboot-headaches ![]() |

I'm of the school of, "if it works, leave it alone" where it comes to upgrading nVidia drivers (new GTS250, which works just fine with one update after installation, previous experience with totally mucking up the works in a FUBAR fashion...)
