![]() Attention on Deck.. Ahoy Sailors, Just saw a vid on U tube and that was a SH4 game, the kaleun was literally moving inside the command room. Is there a mod, with this feature?? Also.. What mod has the least amount of worrying about bugs and crashes.. The thing about mods is that I dont like the hassle that I have to endure to diable the mod, only to find that I ****ed up the files and I have to uninstall then reinstall vanilla.. Is there a mod that turns the water dark blue instead of the Pool texture in stock game?? Also, What mod is fit to run if I have stock SHIV and UBM 1.5 addon installed.. Cheers

Depends on what you want out of the game. For the Pacific, there's Real Fleet Boat and Trigger Maru Overhauled, add in Run Silent Run Deep Campaign if you want. For the Atlantic, there's Operation Monsun. There's the Game Fixes Only mod, if you don't want a mega-mod. There's also lots of little mods that do various things to the game. Browse through the download section, and have fun. Try things that look interesting. JSGME makes it easy to try something and remove it if you don't like it.

Yes, I was skeptical of the mods myself at first, but the TMO 1.9 works very nicely. Make sure you get the patch for TMO 1.9 too.

alright..
I downloaded JSGME and installed it to C:/Games/GME I also copied the files before I launched it to C:/Prog Files/Ubi/SH4 And the desktop shortcut has start in: C:/Prog Files/Ubi/SH4 Now I unzipped TMO 1.9, TMO patch to MODS folder inside SH4 directory C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMO1.9 C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMOPatch Next I run JSGME, it sees both unloaded, I make a snap of stock files and then activate TMO then Patch... RESULTS---> ZERO NOTHING SSDD HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Are you using Vista?
If so install the game in some other folder than Program Files folder. This causes problems when you try to mod the game. I think win7 has the same problem. Make sure you are running everything as administer. A shot in the dark but that's all I can see so far. Magic

Make sure the folders are set up as:
C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMO1.9/Data/a_bunch_of_stuff C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMOPatch/Data/a_bunch_of_stuff and not: C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMO1.9/TMO1.9/Data/a_bunch_of_stuff C:/Prog Files/Ubi/Sh4/MODS/TMOPatch/TMOPatch/Data/a_bunch_of_stuff If you are using Vista or Windows 7, either copy the whole SH4 tree somewhere else and run from there, or run JSGME as administrator. I'd suggest having it installed somewhere other than in C:\Program Files

If you want some better Nav map screens, different water colors, labels, ect..you may like one of these.
Map Colour Original with terrain TMO19_ChartsOverhaul Nav Map Make-Over I also love the new skins for merchants, lots of different paint schemes and emblems that change as years progress...beats the same old boring skins. Merchant Skinpack v2 TMO |

.......SHIV Speech too. It's a little tricky to setup but it's pretty damn cool to say "Take her down" into your mike and have the game respond "yes, sir" or say "Crash dive" and the crew responds.
I say "up scope" and the attack scope raises. I say "Sonar, anything?" and I'll get "Yes sir, sweeping....". You get the idea. Another layer of immersion IMHO. If you go this route it's probably advisable to play it when noone else is in the house as they'll think you've snapped, LOL. |
