Default How do you edit .val files?

Hello everyone, can someone please tell me how I can view or edit a .val file?

As I would like to compare a NF_boat_L.val file from one mod with another. As I would like to know what the differences are before I implement this other mod or maybe even implement the differences from one mod to the other. That way I can use both mods in my game.

Thanks everyone for your replies and help very much appreciated . I am a little tired now so will look into this program tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity what does the .val files do?

As I currently have the following mods enabled in my game.

Hospital Ship Lights v1.2

NF Boat L Lights

Harbour Traffic 1.47

The mod I am trying to enable is called LifeBoats&Debris_v4 and everytime I try to enable this mod using JSGME I get the following error message.

"NDD_Soldati.val" has already been altered by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
Folder "Data\Sea\NDE_FTboot" has already been added by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
"NDE_FTboot.val" has already been altered by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
Folder "Data\Sea\NF_boat_L" has already been added by the "NF Boat L Lights" mod.
"NF_boat_L.val" has already been altered by the "NF Boat L Lights" mod.
Folder "Data\Sea\NHPB" has already been added by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
"NHPB.val" has already been altered by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
Folder "Data\Sea\NHSL" has already been added by the "Hospital Ship Lights v1.2" mod.
"NHSL.val" has already been altered by the "Hospital Ship Lights v1.2" mod.
"NPT_Br.val" has already been altered by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.
"NPT_Ge.val" has already been altered by the "Harbour Traffic 1.47" mod.


And as you can see all these files are .val files. So I am not to sure what I should do here. As I want to use the LifeBoats&Debris_v4 mod. But I would like to know what effect it will have on the other mods if I do.
