Stuck with VIIA ?

Hello all, it's my first post here... I have a simple question: when can I upgrade my sim from type VIIA to VIIB or VIIC ?

At first I tought I was not good enough but now it's Sept 15, 1941 and I sunk about 330000 since the beginning of the war... but I can't figure how to upgrade to type B or C... No radar, no camouflage... nothing since 1939.... So am I missing something or not?

Well yes, you should have missed something.
I have been affected a VII-C in early '40.

At the end of a patrol a popup appeared and tell me that I have a new affectation, and ask me if I accept or not.
I answered : "Hell yeah !"

It was just after a ~130 000 tons patrol, maybe it helps.

Be more aggressive !

you will get a VIIC or B hen you are offered a new boat...dont worry...
