on the edge of some map zoom levels the LAT/LON marks are on the edges is it possible to add the ((numbers))degrees to those lines? 0- 5 -10 etc etc i would think just degrees no minutes because of map sizes but would be cool

The map is a 2d rendering of a squashed sphere (i.e,, the world). As a result, the grid lines are an approximation, and adding degree numbers would not be accurate.
There is a navigation mod which is fairly good; you might want to try this.
