Longer answer: I believe there's a way you can edit your save game file to move your location near enough to a base to end your patrol. Try the search function. It might take a while, but you should be able to find it. And welcome to subsim.

I think the only way is to have a "Master Engineer" that can repair even some of the destroyed stuff as the description says.
In which case you need to have recruited one before hand for a few thousand renown. |

No special officer can repair totally destroyed engines, your done for...
If you're playing stock the engines are scripted close together and it happens more, some supermods like TMO spread them all per say. You died, start over, don't start using cheats to correct it, good way to fubar your game. |
