A Quick Pre-Patrol Question
Just a quick question before I head out on my latest stock patrol, using SH3Commander and no other mods at the moment. I have, however, forgotten the details of the things that you do and don't do when starting your patrol.
I intend to start with a VIIB in the 7th in September 1939 using a realistic crew and random experience. From what I understand, I should take my VIIB out for a quick spin and come back, finishing the patrol in order to dodge any bugs that arise from upgrading sub components. Right before the second patrol is when I should upgrade things, right? (I'd love to put some renown on my career, but oh well.) Is there anything else that I need to be aware of or do before I head out?

In the end, as there isn't much to upgrade in september 1939, you might as well do a full war patrol and come back for the sonar.

OK, thanks much! Once I get back, is there anything to worry about? Conning tower, vanishing upgrade of systems or torpedoes, etc?

You shouldn't have any problems.
I never do a Working Up Cruise myself, but many do. It's your decision whether you want to go with what you've got for a crew. (SH3's Royal Navy is in no better shape than your guys in 1939.) |
