Diving

I'm having a hard time reading the controls. Everytime I request the sub to dive I get the message that I can't because my crew is still on deck. Nowhere do I see a key to order the crew to go below prior to the request to drive or even prepare to dive. I can close the hatch and leave the 3 in the conning tower but I won't have very many crew members left if I doi that every time I want to dive. Still won't let me dive anyway. What is the secret?

You have to go below deck first. Then you can order dive.

You need to be inside the sub before you can dive.

Excuse my stupidity, but what keys do you use to get below? I'm looking at the illustrated keyboard and just don't see it. I key on the officer in the conning tower and all he wants to do is man the guns or say good morning.

The same keys you used to get up on the bridge, W, A, S, D and click right mouse button first.
