I have been looking through the files for the texture that can be seen just below here, with lines that does not match the messages as they cascade.
Wanted to change the line spacing, but I can't find that damn texture file. Perhaps it is a tiny file that is repeated. Anyway, if anyone know where to find this, please tell me. ![]() The texture should probably look like this, with 19 pixels between the lines. ![]() The devs should concider making this window resizable, and introduce some proper indent for when text start on a new line. The first line being shifted to the right by the time stamp. Last edited by Decoman; 03-13-10 at 06:10 AM. |

Hello Decoman. The file you are looking for is called Hud3.dds and is located in your Layout folder. The path to the folder would be C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Menu\Gui\Layout
I circled in red the area of the image that you are looking for. Please see picture below: ![]() Good luck with your mod. ![]() |

Another, easier way might be through the menu editor. The path in the menu editor would be:
Page Default Hud-> Messages-> List-> Background (lined paper image) You can stretch and adjust the Background image to your liking. Not sure how it affects the text, though. I hope this helps. ![]() |

There are something called "crop" in the files. With weird numbering like 0.1523452.

Ok. Now I understand. You are viewing the menu files directly. You need to use the included menu editor. Do you know how to activate it?

Oh. I'll have a new look at it. Thanks!
Edit: Lol, apparantly it is abit complicated. But I now understand that there is a design philosophy of sorts, explained here for anyone coming across this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=163118 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=162702 Last edited by Decoman; 03-13-10 at 11:18 AM. |
