question about rough seas range

Is it possible to mod the range of the rough sea's in sh5 to a much longer range? at present the range of just a couple of hundred metres breaks the immersion that you feel in calmer seas where this limit is not obvious.

Yes it is horiible. Rough sea around sub up to few meters and behind that circle is the sea completly calm and flat.
