Default Another noob question for you all

What is the best and safest way to the western approaches in sh5 please.
Takeing into account that planes don't attack (they report your posn so targets drop when spotted i've noticed) and the two words "best" and
"safest" lol

Thanks to all proper replies
Smart one's welcome too but not thanked (lol)

During late '39 and early '40 I've been risking a run through the English Chanel. There's been a few plane fly by and a random task force here or there (especially in the Straights of Dover) but for the most part crossing has been safe and I've even gotten a few kills through there as well.

Safest is up over the top of England and then back south. I've run the Dover Straight twice and each time there were no less then 8 Destroyers patrolling it in irregular patterns. Very dodgy going there a few times.
