I'm pretty sure we will see patches fixing the most serious problems soon. I'm as cynical as your next-door uboat skipper, but even I don't believe that the devs/ubi would let the customers down THAT much.

What makes you say that? There is absolutly no reason to think there wont at least be one last patch.

Ubi usually releases 3-4 patches before they are done.

I wouldn't worry, in both SH3 and SH4, ubi's coughed up 4 patchs before they abandoned it on the street. I wouldn't expect any different here.
