lets celebrate! after three years of subsim SH5 has forced me to go manual!

who else was defacto baptized into the fold? (because there isnt a auto mode that i can tell)

Feels pretty groovy don't it. :-)

After this achievement, my next favourite feeling is the 'gut instinct shot'.

The one where there's a DD bearing down on your stern, he knows where you are, he's coming to get you and you've got no time to dive... so you flood the stern tube, line it up by eye, hit the button to fire and then crash dive before you even get to see if he dodges it.

But if it hits?

Now THAT is the sweetest explosion you'll ever hear.

Same here, been playing subsims for years and until now I haven't bothered to learn how to shoot, but atm I'm enjoying drawing lines in the map, hitting targets up to 6km. Feels like a totally new game now.
