Well, I've played it fairly happily for about six hours, without the need for any of the 'essential' mods. In cinema time, the game has almost paid for itself. The game needs patching, but there's nothing that will seriously stop you playing, unless you are expecting SH3 version 2, which this game isn't. .

Read reviews and make up your own mind, there is no one on earth who can tell if it´s worth to you or not.

Nah.. SH3 was nearly perfect.... I would have liked SH III 2.0 but, alas, it is not to be...

Okay, any more oppinions..

Gunny, I suspect if you're the type of simmer who is "hard-core"...looking for as realistic an experience as possible within the confines of PC technology and software....if you loved SH3 in all its modded glory, the way it ENDED up, not first started....if you want realistic AI...an atmospheric simulation...then I would SERIOUSLY consider holding off and seeing whether the modders can do something with it. I actually don't have it yet...I'm hard-core and I'm waiting to see if the modding community can fix it, for I'm pretty sure from selective reading of posts from people who have proved to be reliable in the past...that this thing HAS been dumbed dowjn and is not in a fit state yet for the serious simmer. I have bought with rtelish every SH title because they were fantastic; not this time. If they have dumbed it down, and gone the arcade route, then I'm annoyed at the developers and publishers and I will not reward them with buying their game (and don't even mention the DRM thing; from a basic principle point of view, I think that route of protection is highly questionable...). Not until it is clearly in my hatd-core interest to do so. So...that's me...maybe you're like me...maybe not. If not, go for it.....fill your boots and knock your socks off. You'll probably enjoy it...

Nimmo55 out!
