Default Seabed has to be fixed!

Devs, please take this to your top priority list. It is really affecting gameplay, especially when chased by DD's you want to get as deep as possible, which is very difficult because you can't trust what you see.

How do you see the seabed inside a submarine? You got some Finnish sub with windows?

There is definitely something up with the seabed. I have screenshots of a sunken ship literally being swallowed up by the seabed and disappearing.

No, I'm fighting the war in one huge condom full of seamen. Scary sight, I tell you.

You can go to the mod section and download the new Keys that add depth to keel.

That way you don't have to be outside view to tell what the depth is... Since that obviously means nothing.

Yes, I am aware of that. But especially in shallow waters, you have to keep pinging the seafloor constantly and on many occasions you don't have time to switch your depth before you hit the invisible seabed.

And also, there are the graphical problems of sunken ships resting 5 meters above the seabed etc.

Sinking ships is shallow water do not come to rest on the seabed, they are swallowed and disappear. Maybe this was an attempt to depawn models and increase performance after sinkng?

then can it be changed to read the lowest points as the floor instead of the highpoints or can the floor be raised up to get the same result?

this way you dont hit things that arent there, i would rather go through objects as with rocks in sh4 then to hit something you see isnt there

Either to fix that or the "Ship is damaged and sunk but water is to shallow for it to register" problem.

Hated that in SH4. Managed to infiltrate Tokyo Harbor. Shokaku Carrier and a Yamato. Sent every torpedo I had into them, watched them both list to the side, catch fire but then they just stopped. Went to my external camera. They had begun to sink but hit the seabed before the decks went under.

Same thing happened in the Uboat expansion. Managed to get into midway and torpedo a Fleet Carrier. Sank a bit but hull came to rest on the bottom before the game registered it as sunk.

But the frame rate thing would probably be the best reason lol
