. It's a product. They didn't make it the way I wanted. I won't be buying the product because of the way they made it. That's a review. That's what happens in the free market. You are free to ignore your customers and they are free to say what they like about you. They won't be saying on the box that the product has such restrictive DRM, so other potential purchasers need to be warned.

Yes, it says 'permanent internet connection required' but it doesn't say that you need a 100% reliable connection or you will lose your unsaved progress. Don't potential purchasers deserved to be warned, or should people just walk in blindly and get stuck with such a monster?

We all know that's how AC2 will work, none of us that have kept up to date need to buy it to know that. It's the 'casual' gamer that Ubi are after that won't know. They won't have been reading the forums. They do deserve to know what they are buying right - after all even Ubisoft won't tell them what they are buying and how the DRM will work. You remember that 'phone interview, where the guy asked the Ubisoft rep how DRM would work in each game and he said 'Ask your peers' - not that's childish.

I don't like your way of letting people be tricked into buying a product they didn't want. If they read all the reviews and see they all refer to DRM, then if that doesn't bother them, then they can decide to purchase anyway. It's the ones that don't know that deserve fair warning. A product with this DRM in it does suck, regardless of how good the game is. NO STARS FOR YOU!

Prolly do that anyway after a short spell with SH5

SH4 with TMO always brings me back to playing it. It is that simple when it comes to SH4. This game will not be the first time I dropped some major money only to find it really stinks (if it stinks and I do not see it stinking after watching the video Neal posted again). Hell, I got countless disc like that.

Best thing to do with games is get out of your mind what the game should be to you and just play the game as it really is. DRM aside, I think SH5 has some good potential. Just as SH4 had potential and you showed it, SH5 will have hers.

But my heart is in the PTO however supporting more submarine games requires folks to be interested in buying them. Me being a 'folks' purchased to show support. I will also play it!

Good point but in all fairness, PS3 games are $10-$20 more than the PC games.

Tell me the fix was not in because console games are more popular?

I have had it on pre-order since first available on Amazon, free shipping and no sales tax. The great thing about Amazon is they will deliver on release day!

Did it with MW2, they had to overnight it to get to me and on their dime.

Amazon is awesome.

Yes I am a guinea pig. This is my only PC game purchase this year and SOW: BOB if its released. Its in the budget, honest!

The installment will sit fine as I'm not expecting the end all of submarine simulations here with SH5 . Currently SH5 is a game...not a simulation. My hopes and dreams will not be dashed upon the sandy shores. Personally I do not care nor is it my business if you have/not have a problem with SH5. It has no bearing on my purchase nor your view of my purchase of the game. As far as getting into my computer files...really, does UBI have better things to do than look at my family photos? This digging into your computer is just silly. At any rate, no skin off your nose but you will post anyway. If it is no skin then why bother to post? I will post my impressions when I get the game. Fair enough?

Amazon is great. I get all my books there and at great used book prices. Books that I would never see if I went to the local book store or library. Can't beat it.

People, if I don't like SHV, I'll just wait for all mods and patches to be released, if after that I still don't like SHV I'll throw it on some top shelf in my garage and know that at least I've tried to love it...

Then, in ten years or so, I put the disk in my computer, install SHV again for old-times-sake, then laugh my ass of because all of ubi's servers are down and the game can't connect to play......

I think with this OSP, you will be breaking the terms of your licience if you let your kids or anyone else use the product. the account is in your name and ONLY YOU are allowed to used it.

thats how theses account based online things work. read the small print when you go to install the game.

Well, just go download the last patch that turns off the protection.

@AVG - I'll be ordering as soon as I get my Debit card (switching banks). I cant wait to be able to watch the crew do their thing instead of trying to imagine it is happening. It should really fill in that gap that SH3&4 was missing.
