I wont buy the game. Not really interested in ever being regulated by Steam. Don't like the setup for COD ruined the game for me.

I'll stick with SH IV TMO with RSRD. Have fun with SH V. As for UBI good luck with the sales! Doesnt sound like you will have a mad rush to your new game. Maybe if you keep delaying release, we will all die off and you will sell it to someone who loves steam?

Petition signed, although I don't think it will make any difference to any of the wankers at Ubisoft!

I don't want to have to be connected all the time. There are no advantages worth mentioning. I hate when Internet is down and can't play a single player game.
I heard all the other complaints about other stuff and it was all stuff I could live with. I thought I would buy the game no matter what but making an offline game require internet sucks. I have cheap internet. I don't like to leave it on all the time either. And it does go down. Some people around here can't even get anything but expensive cell phone connection. The phone lines are too old for dsl. So now we CAN'T play the game even if we wanted too. How many of us play on multiple computers anyway. I wanted this game for so bad for so long but now I will hold off. This constant internet thing is silly and stupid. Damn dumb execs.

Default Keep fighting guys until we win!

I signed already against the most stupid idea for copyright protection ever. And I hope what the Ubi monkeys recognize their big mistake. So I am still praying hard (Das DRM joke) to see SH5 without this Draconian system.

I hope you enjoy with this image which reflect my opinion about the Ubi-suits.

Yepp, that pretty much describes the current situation. Well done

I was a victim of this type of online solo game system in the past. The server went kaput and I could no longer play the game.

It is quite unfortunate that the developers chose this path and I firmly believe if they do not relent that this will be the end of the series.

After seeing the overwhelming negitive response in the poll that was run here, it sounds like they have pretty much alienated core gamers.

I personally think that after some months when the initial buyers have purchased the game a patch will come out, this will be like a second wave of sales, designed for the legitimate people that either haven't got an internet connection or only have dialup that is not good enough for permanent online use! that's a lot of potential buyers, as well as those like me who just plain hate the idea of being online for a single player game!
Well I hope so anyway!

A lot of potential buyers with no connection or dial-up in 2010!!

Maybe, but I guess they were also in the impossibility to get the 1.33 GB GWX 3.0

It's actually a fact, I know many here in Australia that only have dialup available, less than 100km from the city center!
