Would it be possible to create training torpedoes?
Then more realistic training type missions could be added to the tutorials with your sub using non exploding torps on targets. Basically an immersion factor but a nice touch for newbies and it would allow for multiple engagements within the same tutorial since your target would not sink. A tug towing a target might even be an addition. |

The only thing you could do to this effect would be to "remove" the warhead from the existing torpedoes. More torpedoes can not be added to the game unfortunately.

![]() and I think Keltos01 would know a thing or two about adding torpedoes, the Japanese Sub mod he's making has more than just the stock set IIRC

Modded German torp. I could be wrong but I think ETR3 is correct that you can not add torpedoes to the game.

The Kaitens type 1 and type 2 are made from the german accoustic torpedoes with new 3D model and animation, and new hitpower. I would have like to have kept the german torpedoes along with the IJN ones, since they received german torps as gifts and since uboots of operation Monsun could also have used IJN torpedoes (longer range, higher power ![]() yes you could mod one type of torp into a training torp, lower the hitpoints to 1 (don't know that 0 would work) in the torpedo.zon file and see. keltos |
