I went to Madeira. It looked very nice, looming out of the ocean in the early morning fog. The boys had heard the beaches were nice and the women friendly .. a couple of them suggested approaching natives and bartering for fresh fruit and wine...

Sensing an impending disciplinary breakdown, I sailed away.

I'm in a patrol right now... someone take a ride to Norway for me, to check out a place I know should be very beautiful: Just north of AF 3, there is a little bit of land streaming out of Norway. The fjords here should be very beautiful, in particular during night in summer (polar sun).

Parked in the path of an enormous convoy of T3's and troopships.

Just yesterday, I drove my Type VIIB past Brighton in the middle of the night. The lights along the boardwalk were very realistic... Too bad there wasn't any tanker nearby for me to set ablaze :|\

Yeah. I stayed surfaced too long after dawn. An aircraft spotted me and a few minutes later, a Brit destroyer showed up . Fortunately, I was long gone by the time it arrived

Hmm ... sounds like the Brighton council deserves a slap on the wrist for not maintaining the black-out!

It would be interesting if SH3 reflected the different historical black-out practices, the British coasts being dark, but the Americans leaving their coastal towns nicely lit up in 1942 so the tankers could be silhouetted against them .
