I have been a BIG fan of the SH Series. I have had all of them....but, I am withholding from SH5 purchase for the obvious reasons.
1. UBI dropped SH4 Multiplay support. Everyone is using Hamachi to play. This should not be.

2. In the past, modders have had to fix the program. Not that I don't enjoy the mods. The Sim should be GOLD out of the box...and it has not been.

3. They do not have direct ip hosting in the software.

4. I wait one year and it is 10 bucks in the Wal-Mart cheapy bin.

I have really been unhappy with the UBI Team and their several years of no support for the product and customer. I speak the truth here and we all know this.
I love Sub Sim and all you fine gents that have made the SH series what it is today. But I will not be tricked again with this new release. If they have Direct IP support and make sure it is FULLY tested GOLD. I see that everyone is having no issues and fun with the Sim, I may change my mind.
I am sorry I feel this way, but it is, what it is.
Just speaking the truth about the last SH release and the feelings it gave me.

Tricked again this time?
I'm not having a shot at you, but is it Ubisoft "tricking" people into buying their product (s) or is it a case of a game developer marketing their wares to the best of their abilities, and to increase sales?
What is so wrong with that?
At the end of the day, we, the consumer have total control over what we purchase, i understand that some people get "conned into" or "tricked into" purchasing a product, however is that ultimately the seller's fault?
I would think not, unless of course the buying and/or selling is done unlawfully


Let's face it, anyone that is in business markets their products in one way or another, naturally the seller advertises their best of the best, and in the case of game developers, advertises the best screen shots, or the most intense moments of their game via video.....

I know i didn't get "tricked" into buying the other SH games, far from it......

Once again, i'm not having a go at the author of this thread, but seems to me that it's "another" Ubisoft-bashing exercise......and of course an opinion, which might i add i respect.....moreso.

I am neutral by the way in this ever-tiring "bashing" of Ubisoft and their upcoming release.........
Have patience Kaleuns....you never know, you might be pleasently surprised....or you may not.....is that the end of the world?

I say at least wait untill the darn thing is released (so we know exactly what it's like) before bashing it, but I guess that's a crazy idea.
