Default Poll: I would like a 1944-45 add on for SH5 in the future.

SH5 does not include the years 1944-45 which is ok by me but i would like in the future an add on to include the missing years .
Poll: I would like an 1943-45 add on for SH5 in the future.

There is no option to have 1944-45 in SH5 .

Definitely.

I would be much more inclined to get SH5 when it hit the shelves if I knew this content was in the pipeline.

Yes, if possible put on sale as early as this March, to complete the game - similar to what happened 2 years ago, when SH4 was sold directly bundled with its first patch, to make it remotely playable.

The devs hinted in the interview that any eventual extra content will be tied to the initial sales and feedback of SH5, so we'll see

I'd prefer other types first.

EDIT: with corresponding interiors, which is why I think the campaign is short now.

The campaign is too short and the content very limited with no assurance of futures upgrades , Sh V can be a closed way with no future and heading to the consoles market

LOL

just like there is a cell phone version of the MOH and COD games!

i have seen it... it is a 2D side scroller for lack of a better description.

it is just a toy to play with on the go and has nothing remotely to do with simulation, historical accuracy etc.

I would like to buy SH5 and have the team who are experienced and dedicated in making great subsims (Ubisoft Romania) employed year round, creating more content and value for the game, releasing a nice expansion every 6 months. I would love it if SH5 was as realistic as SH3/4, with more features, and enhanced options to help casual gamers but also retain the great 100% realism features I love...and as a result, sell a million copies (100,000 to hardcore subsim guys, 900,000 to Sonic the hedgehog players). I would love that because then Ubisoft would pour more resources into the SH franchise, instead of it limping along due to lackluster sales.

not sure what you would really be doing from 1944-45 unless it was secret missions, special ops stuff since the ocean war was over

EDIT: i see in other threads there was a bit of tonnage sunk by u-boats after 1943 so i guess there is somewhat of a campaign left but its like one sub lost for every ship sunk

I think that it's right to concentrate on the early war up to 1943, in fact it's one of the few things I've liked the sound of so far. After 1943 it was like shooting fish in a barrel for the allies.

Its better have until 1945, for the people who don´t play beyond 1943 it´s not a problem because is possible choose the moment to finish the campaign.

From the historic point of view, despite the low tonnage sunk , allies where forced to expend vast resources in ASW warfare.

But business is business and they can sell it for 50 $ and 50$ more for the ShV wolves of the indian or pacific Addon that finish the game .

it´s a risky movement for the SHV franchise because it turns to another direction and perhaps don´t like to the new public target and traditional sub simmers

I voted no. Why play the last 2 years of the war, far too difficult for a tonnage hoar like myself.
