Number of lifeboats

Playing TMO RSRD. Recall seeing a lot of lifeboats in stock, but rarely see that many playing mods. Still, once in awhile will see a bunch of them.
What determines this.

Funny, I sunk the Yamato and the boats wal to wall all almost around it, had never seen that. I counted 56, but probably more.

im sure that was a glitch to have THAT many but its in the dat file i think where it sets the settings for sinking animations like bubbles debris and lifeboats

I remember playing around with lifeboats once. If you look in the .cfg of the ship you will see the lifeboat/crew survival settings:

CrewComplement=1350
SurvivalRate=90
SurvivalPercentage=20

Must've been a glitch...before that I was lucky to see one or two per sinking, if any...Course how many times do you find the Yamato the last day of the war....
