Default Problem with Manual Targeting

Hi evr1. Firstly happy new year to you all!

I had a problem last night while I was targeting a Granville type freighter. My AOB, Target Speed dial and range dial all froze after i unpaused the game for a few seconds. I was unable to move them. I managed to fire 2 torps at the target and 1 hit. I had to dive as a ASW trawler attacked me but I heard the freighter sinking and got the cheers from the crew so i thought i would definately get the credit. When the ASW Trawler went away, I sent a status report to Bdu and it didnt mention that I had sunk the Granville Freighter? These 2 instances are really annoying and I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light on them. Im using GWX 3 and OLC Gold Gui and also WB's 34 Additional Ships mod. Im not sure if its worth mentioning but I have OLC Longer Repair Times loaded as part of OLC Gold. Yesterday I read a thread for LRT and a guy called h.sie had a post on there which he explained how to change the LRT Parameters to make the crew more effiencent than LRT mod. I changed the bits he said to change and enabled it using JSGME over the top of of OLC Gold Option 4 with LRT. this then created a conflict as I was overwriting OLC LRT if you follow what I mean Could this have caused any of the above errors in the game? Any help is appreciated. Cheers

The TDC dials (and the Attack-disk panel) locking up is an known, but unfortunately unexplained bug with OLC's gui. The only fix known to date is to go into the 3d internal view (F2) to the weapon-officer station (make sure he is onstation so you can get close) and press the TDC lightbulb (to set between auto-tma and manual). Only press it once to reset the lockup.

DO NOT use the auto-tdc/manual button on the F6 page. That is useless, you must use the 3d internal view.

Thanks Pisces!

I'll remember that if it happens again. Any ideas why I didnt get credit for sinking ship?

I really know too little about the LRT mod (Or those WB ships) to say anything about whether or not it could have caused the sinking not being credited. It wouldn't be logical for a mod that changes crew efficiency. But that doesn't say anything.

Did you only make the status update radio report, or did you also check the Captains log (key 'k') to see if it appeared there?

Sometimes it is the bad weather that deals the final blow that makes a ship sink. Then you sometimes do not get credited for it. But sometimes it can also rest on the shallow seabed, still sticking out the waves a bit. We are lucky anyway, I think, with getting almost all sinkings credited. I doubt Dönitz was so generous without confirmation.
