Say what? The cook is gone, as is the scene of the torpedo room guys playing cards and the captain looking in the mirror.

Well, I certainly hope the soup nazi won't be the new cook. That'll send morale down faster than a sinking merchant.

the relative big size of the sub compared with the crew could be a engine limitation, to show well the movements of the crew walking along the sub in the compartments and limit the clipping.

Perhaps a historic size can cause a bottle neck for the crew when moving inside the boat and is better for the "movie" atmosphere

I agree with the above. Sticking to 100% accurate scale might result in an unplayable game.

No!! The one at the Silent Hunter 5 site where it has "Enter or Forum", the one displayed on that screen is the old one showing the cook, could someone point to a download for the revised version please?

I don't know about downloading, but the link in post #1 of this thread has the new one.

That's the one we've been watching.

Strange then, I took a snapshot of the screen and you can see the address bar as well as the date in the lower right corner, seems that possibly some countries display differently maybe!!

It bugs me slightly that at GQ, they still left the hatch to the command room open.
